These torches are very inexpensive and handy for various crafts and home projects. I didn't believe its capability until I saw copper wires being melt into droplets by the torch -- and it merely took a few seconds to do this. As this one outputs only one flame it, it does its job slightly slower than the other ones with two flames. However at its price it is an excellent torch to own. It also makes a handy alternative than pepper sprays as a body guard. You may also find it useful as a anti-wind lighter.

In addition, this torch (although cheaper) feature two locks: one for keeping the flame in place so you don't have to press and hold the button; the other one (the ring around the ignition button) for locking the ignition switch so you (or your children) won't accidentally light the torch.
.
This particular torch's build quality is only mediocre though. If you want to do more serious business like things other than lighting a candle or cigarrette, I'd highly recommend these other ones shown in the related parts section below. The other ones are fully constructed by metal materials and are much more solid than this plastic version, for only a couple dollars more. You won't regret on getting them too.
.
We have also been told that these torches are capable of softening glass so that you can use it to break small glass subjects like a glass tube into two.
.
The jet flame is very blue (meaning high temperature) as shown in the pictures so be careful not to burn yourself and anyone with it. A tankful of gas can easily last you an hour of burning. You can also use regular lights' butane refiller canisters to refill these torches.
Due to postal restrictions and safety reasons we ship these units with minimal amount of gas prefilled.

Pros: This lighter seems very well made, and I like the flame port cover that's on a chain so you don't lose it.
The flame is nice and adjustable so you can choose the flame strength you are wanting.
I have used this to light everything from my cigars to starting camp fires.
It also seems to be really good on fuel so you don't have to refill it that often.

Cons: I have not found any cons as of yet with this lighter, so far I am VERY pleased with it.

Other Thoughts:

Bottomline: Bottom line on this lighter is I think its a great lighter and the price is even better. This is a good multipurpose lighter, which can be used in almost all applications requiring a flame. I plan to buy a couple more soon.

Pros: A magnificent item. Very cheap, very reliable and easy to use. The tank is ENORMOUS ang gives you flame for a long time. It is more than ypu need to light up a cigarete... it is a tool. Ideal for hobby shops.

Cons: it came without fluid (it is the law that forbits transforting of filled lighters), I had to pay extra for filling.
The safety cap is useless... it does not fit.
The standing base is also useless... it does not stand, and if it stands... it is not reliable. It is all plastic - poor quality. It does not have a flame regulator.

Other Thoughts: It could be better, but still it is a very good item.

Bottomline: Buy it... is is very usefull.
Even for cigarets and stuff... it is the best lighter i had.

Price: starstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstar
Build Quality: starstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstar

Pros: - Cool lighter Torch Light
- Safety Lock
- Large Barrel
- Protection Cap

Cons: - Stand Support Infefficient
- Bad Build Quality, all in plastic
- No Switch to adjust intensity of the torch

Other Thoughts: - It works fine for me. I just need a lighter less vunerable to weak winds to light up fireworks and candles.
- The stand support is ridiculous. It just doesnt hold eficiently the Torch, and it can easily get lost... what just happened.

Bottomline: - I resisted at first, to buy it, aware that it could be cought by customs, because of the gas. But how I was able to see after, it comes empty, and that wouldnt represent any hazard situation for the mail company.

Ownership verified by DX Looks kinda cool, doesn't perform

Involvement: General (knows how to use it) - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week

Price: starstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstar
Build Quality: starstar
Usefulness: starstar
Overall Rating: starstar

Pros: -Looks pretty cool and will get a stare from friends
-Has more features than other lighters (ring on trigger can lock the flame on, safety mechanism on side)
-Won't light with cap on, additional safety
-Big tank

Cons: -Tank only filled half way for me, might be a malfunction of the valve
-Bad build quality. Not falling apart, but its all plastic
-Tip gets hot after a bit of use. Bad because the tip is plastic so if it started to melt it would be really bad if you touched it.
-Safety lock doesn't really work, just makes it harder to push.

Other Thoughts: Cap can get annoying, I'm thinking of just taking mine off.

Bottomline: Not worth the time and effort, but worth the money if you're looking for an okay lighter.
