Pros: Perfect picture with 1920x1080@50Hz resolution from PC to 22" LCD.A bit longer than most cheap cables.Looks and feels solid.
Cons: Had some issues with sparkling (red dots on the LCD) which did not appear with another cable, but using a "lead" pencil on the connector pins fixed it. Did not expect this with a "gold plated" connector.Cable could be a bit more flexible.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: Cable works great after the pencil trick.Nice price, local shops take at least twice as much.Would buy another one if I needed one.
Pros: Solid constructionGold plated connectorsPlastic tailcaps on cable endsSeems to handle 1080P video signal. Tested by plugging a computer and sending 1920x180 resolution to a plasma TV.
Cons: None so far. Please keep in mind that so far I only tested it in a DVI-HDMI connection (with an additional adapter).
Other Thoughts: I don't believe in cable vodoo: if the construction is good and you are not trying to send HD video 20m far from the source, any decently build cable should do the trick. This seems to be the case with this cable.
Bottomline: Costs half price when compared to the chepest available in Brazil.
Pros: Bought the cable for my new full HD 32" lcd tv, because my SCART cable did not give the right results. I was curious about Dealextreme, so I ordered 2 hdmi to hdmi cables, and 2 dvi to hdmi cables (2 cables for me and 2 cables for my dad).These cables gave a way better result.It's cheap and it works, what more could you want? I bought two of them, one for me, and one for my dad. Both of the cables work fine, picture quality is perfect and the sound works too (if you set the right settings in your dvd player).
Cons: No cons, it works and it's cheap! Maybe the length could have been longer, but for me it's long enough.
Bottomline: Cheap, works, what more could you want?
Pros: Adequate packaging with plastic protectors over the delicate ends.Works great at 720p (and presumably at 1080p too as it's a pure digital connection).Gold plated (or at least gold coloured).Much cheaper than any retail outlets near me - you could buy these in bulk and sell them locally for a decent margin!
Cons: No cons that I can think of at this price point.
Other Thoughts: HDMI cables either work or they don't - it's a digital signal so the quality will be as good as a cable costing 2-10 times more.
Bottomline: If you need an HDMI cable (or you think you might need one in future), get this one.
