Pros: cheap, not bad build quality.

Cons: While light output is good, the pattern is useless for almost anything. Wait for improvements.

Other Thoughts: Good intentions.Poor engineering.

Bottomline: Watch for a new improved model.

Pros: Compact. Takes common AA batteries. Bright for its size.

Cons: Have to pass through the rest of the modes to turn off the light. Light pattern is full of artifacts.

Other Thoughts: Good for camping and as a power outage light. Wrapping a piece toilet tissue around the globe evens out the light nicely without perceivable drop in output. Next version should replace the funky reflect with a frosted material to improve light pattern.

Bottomline: Good value. Buy it.
