On 7/10/2006, Staff wrote:Not long ago we loved playing emulator games on PCs with inexpensive joypads. We still do, but much of the love is now shared by this OneStation console. Although the console's design doesn't look as elegant as those newer gameboys, it does have many advantages over its counterpart. One killer feature is its ability to play many of the classic favourites including spy vs. spy, tank A 1990 and super mario bros. The other nice feature is the TV-out feature which doesn't usually come with gameboys off the shelf. By hooking the unit to a TV, the console acts as a joypad + console all in one. Seen those spongebob joypad-TV consoles at BestBuy for about $20? Get this instead and you will not regret.
Right now the only complaints that I have with the unit (other than the design of its casing), are one, it does not allow game saves with the current cartridge, and two, when batteries are low, the display becomes fuzzy. The information brochure inside the package (printed in Chinese) indicates that upcoming cartridges will add wireless multi-player, digital camera, and portable TV capabilities -- looking forward to them!
Pros: Great displayExcelent battery life,Good selection of games,Works on TV as well as its own screen.
Cons: TV quality not the best,No memory for high scores,
Other Thoughts: When this was first delivered I thought the screen was broken as I could hear the music but just saw a white screen. After moving the games pack around a bit it worked fine and has done since.I would recomend using rechargable batteries although they do last for a long time anyway. With such a small screen it pays to have good eyesight. I am slightly short sighted so its fine with me.
Bottomline: If like me you have MAME (Multiple arcade game emulater) on your on your PC and enjoy playing the old 1980's type arcade games then you will love this.Great buy.
Pros: Build quality is very good. Feels very solid. LCD display is bright and clear. Games are classic NES titles, often renamed, but the original NES games. Game controls work as well as the ones on my GBA Micro.
Cons: No headphone jack.
Other Thoughts: Lots of play potential in a very small, very inexpensive package. Buy a cheap 2.5" screen protector (SKU: 3808) to keep the screen scratch-free. 99 games on one cart should keep anyone occupied for an airline trip or whatever.
Bottomline: Buy one and have fun.
Pros: Plays many classic NES games that I love- Donkey Kong, Galaga etc...
Cons: Has a lot of games that you will look at once and then never play again.
Other Thoughts: Screen protector should be included- the screen scratches easily.
Bottomline: Great gadget.

Snowflakes (fuzziness) appears on screen when batteries are low. Changing batteries solves this issue.
The manual states that both NTSC and PAL formats are supported. However, some have reported that the TV-out's format may be determined by the cartridge being used, not by the console (similar to way DVDs work).
